How do we speak of peace?
Is peace an ideal to aspire to?
Or is it something that can be known and valued?
This collection is the result of the writers and artists at Napier Poets Corner wrestling with these questions, in the light of International White Ribbon Day and its kaupapa of the prevention of violence against women, children and all who are vulnerable.
Inside are poems that celebrate peace discovered in moments of joy. Others express everyday experiences that bring peace. Some speak of peace as a privilege that comes from living in freedom, and some reflect on the tensions created by war.
The printing and editing were all donated meaning that all $10 from the sale of the book goes the DOVE.
